FraudSuspect050515BPDHeart of Texas Crime Stoppers and the Brownwood Police Department are asking the public for help solving a recent crime.

At approximately 3 p.m. on May 5, 2015, a Hispanic female entered a Checks-Plus Store in Brownwood and cashed a United States Treasury check for an IRS refund.  To cash the check, the female used a Permanent Resident Card, which is believed to be fraudulent.   The suspect is pictured left.

Anyone with information regarding this situation or the person involved please call Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers at 800-222-tips(8477) or text hottips and your tip information to 274637.  Those giving tips will remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward once an arrest is made.
