Brownwood News – The following calls for service were answered by the Brownwood Police Department in recent days.

On October 22, 2019, at approximately 14:10, Officers were dispatched to a convenience store in South Brownwood in the 1200 block of Austin Avenue. The call was in reference to credit card skimmers that were located on the fuel pumps. Upon arrival, Officer Mares spoke to a male subject who had located two credit card skimmers on two of the fuel pumps at the location, while servicing the machines. The skimmers were collected and a report was generated.

While on patrol on October 21, 2019, at approximately 16:50 hours, Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Coggin in reference to a stolen motorized wheelchair. The wheelchair was located and recovered at the 700 block of Avenue D. The suspects were identified and the motorized wheelchair was returned to the owner. A report was made.

On Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at approximately 08:31 hours, Officer Weaver was dispatched to the 900 block of W. Austin Ave in reference to a burglary of a vehicle.  Officer Weaver arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant about the incident. A report has been made.
