Tuesday evening May 13, 2014 is the date of a Cow/Calf Clinic which will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds on HWY 377 South. The clinic is being presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Brown County Office. The Cow/Calf Clinic will begin at 5:30 p.m. It is open to anyone interested. There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door. There will be an evening meal (beef) sponsored by Brown County Farm Bureau.
Cattle are worth lots of money at the present time but cattle producers need to stay up to date and not just sit and wait until time sell cattle.
Speakers and topics for the Cow/Calf Clinic include:
Cody Norris, Brown County FSA Director – Livestock Feed Program
Dr. Ron Gill, Extension Livestock Specialist – Low Stress Cattle Handling
Stan Bevers, Extension Economist – What Are Cattle Really Worth
If you have an interest in raising cattle, now is your chance to come hear some of the leading authorities in the state and enjoy a good meal all for just $10.00.
