Brownwood News – The COVID-19 pandemic caused plans to change for the Empty Bowls fundraiser for Good Samaritan Ministries in Brownwood. No soup was served. The event was at Good Samaritan headquarters instead of the Brownwood Coliseum. But one thing didn’t change and that was the kind hearts of Brownwood area residents. They still came for their hand painted empty bowls and gave their donations to Good Samaritan. Volunteers greeted long lines of vehicles which drove by 305 Clark Street to receive their bowls. Some brought food donations. In return, they were treated to coupons from several local eating establishments. Shown are just a few of the folks helping when we drove through for our empty bowls.
