Brown County Commissioners Court will hold a special meeting Wednesday, January 2nd to swear in two newly elected commissioners.
Gary Worley will take the commissioner’s seat for Precinct 1, and Wayne Shaw will be the new commissioner for Precinct 3. Worley defeated Tommy Blevins for the Precinct 1 seat in July during the primary runoff election. Worley will replace Bob Clark who was appointed to fill an unexpired term.
Shaw defeated longtime incumbent Richard Gist for the Precinct 3 seat during the July runoff.
Both men were unopposed in the general election.
Worley and Shaw will take the oath of office at 9 AM Wednesday in the Brown County Commissioners’ courtroom.
