Those who are registered to vote in Brown County may have noticed that their voter registration card expires at the end of this year. Not to worry, the county is preparing to mail out new voter registration cards to Brown County voters in the next few weeks.
On Monday, Brown County Commissioners approved a request by the Brown County Elections Office for $4465.42 to pay for postage for the mass mail out. The law requires that the cards be out by December 5th and the county is working to meet that deadline.
The elections office said that approximately 21,500 voter registration cards will be sent in this mass mail out. These updated registration cards will be valid from January 1st, 2010 thru December 31st, 2011.

The Primary Election will be held March 2nd, 2010 and voters must be registered by February 1st 2010 to be eligible.
