Brownwood News – The Brown County Commissioners court was happy to vote unanimously Monday morning in proclaiming October 6-12 as National 4-H week.

Surrounded by 4-Hers representing Bangs, Brookesmith, May and Brownwood, County Judge, Dr. Paul Lilly, read the proclamation honoring 4-H members in Brown County.  The organization is now 112 years old and has more than 550,000 urban, suburban and rural youth participants across the nation, ranging in age from eight to nineteen.

The members also presented Commissioners with cookies and thanked them for their support of 4-H in Brown County.
