The Brown County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Monday morning with a very brief agenda and a quick 12 minute meeting.
Commissioners made a pair of proclamations on Monday, one of which was declaring the month of November as Home Care and Hospice Month.
The second proclamation was to declare November 16th as Brown County Adoption Day. They will hold a special event at the courthouse to commemorate the day. The proclamation also recognized November 21st as National Adoption Day.
The county also approved a direct deposit program where employees can opt to have their paycheck direct deposited to their bank account.
Sherri Ornelas was appointed to the Brown County Child Welfare Board replacing a member who recently resigned. The 15 member board currently has one other vacancy they are looking to fill.
