Cormaleta Wyatt, age 96, of Brownwood died Saturday night at Songbird Lodge Nursing Home.

She was born December 4, 1921 in Oklahoma.  She married Wesley Wyatt who preceded her in death.  She was a longtime member of Central United Methodist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years.  She was a veteran of the U. S. Army during W. W. II.  She also taught English several years at Mesquite prior to moving to Brownwood.

She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Wyatt of Austin and a niece, Jimmie Wilson of Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, William David Wyatt, a sister, Jewell Dunlap and two brothers, Hershel Lewis and Stanley Lewis.

Her body was cremated and a graveside service will be held later.
