Graveside Services for Corine Parker Gable, age 85, of Early will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Jordan Springs Cemetery, interment to follow under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home, with Steve Baker. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Corine was born October 31, 1924 in Jordan Springs, Texas to Lester and Lucy (DeHay) Parker. She married Walter Sutton Gable on June 23, 1945 in Indian Creek, Texas. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Brown County. Corine enjoyed traveling the world and making new friends, as she loved to talk and never met a stranger. She never forgot any of those new found friends she made along her travels. She also enjoyed garage sales, auctions, and taking pictures with her camera that she carried everywhere with her. One of her other enjoyments was buying clothes for people because she was a very giving person along with contributing to many charities each month.Corine is survived by her husband, Walter Sutton Gable of Early; a daughter, Gail Gable Love and husband Alfred of Early; son, Philip Gable and wife Deborah of Early; and a sister, Katherine Kinman of Brownwood; six grandchildren, Troy Love and wife Jill, Keith Gable, Traci Pettit and husband Eddie, Candace Ritchie and husband Craig, Travis Love and wife Loni, and Kevin Gable; 12 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
