Early High School’s Abe Cooper was recently named as an Outstanding Performer at the 2014 Texas State Solo-Ensemble Piano Solo Contest.
Of the 95,000 students participating in the regional UIL music contests and the 24,000 musicians who performed at TCCEC, only 269 students earned the distinguished honor being recognized as an Outstanding Performer. Abe was awarded a UIL gold medal from Dr. Bradley Kent, the State Director of Music.
Abe will be a senior this upcoming school year.
“We are very proud of Abe for this wonderful accomplishment,” Jason Jones (outgoing band director) said. “He is an amazing talent and a great asset to Early High School.”
