Robert W. Cook of Granbury takes the People’s Choice Award at the 2012 Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit which was announced Monday. Each year the People’s Choice award is selected through votes from visitors at the exhibit during the first week.
Cook won the honor with his water color of the Granbury square entitled Rinky Tinks with 69 of the 704 votes cast since the exhibit opened. His piece is one of 130 selected from record 376 entries submitted for this year’s show.

The exhibit continues through February 17th at the Depot. Exhibit hours are 9am-6pm weekdays, Saturday 9am-4pm, and Sunday 1pm-4pm. The artwork not selected for the show can be viewed at the Salon des Refuses, sponsored by the Brownwood Art Association, at the Art Center on Fisk Avenue.
