The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Early Chamber of Commerce and Heartland Mall hosted a ribbon cutting and grand opening for Ranger College on Tuesday to celebrate their arrival to Brown County and their new facility at Heartland Mall.
More than 100 dignitaries, officials, and supporters from Brownwood, Early, and Brown County were in attendance for the momentous occasion.
Brownwood Mayor Pro-Tem Darrell Haynes and Early Mayor Bob Mangrum both welcomed Ranger College to Brown County and noted the importance and benefits of having a junior college in the community. Both cities played an important role in bringing Ranger College to the area.
“This is a huge community partnership,” Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Laura Terhune said. “We appreciate the opportunity to be involved with this.”
Dr. Bill Campion of Ranger College thanked those who were instrumental in making their Brown County campus a reality. He indicated that they are excited about what the future holds for them in the area.
