Texas is known for hot summers, but it could be getting hotter. The long term weather forecast for the area includes greater extremes of heat and drought, as well as more severe storms.
This Saturday, May 25, the Brownwood Area Community Garden will offer a discussion of gardening strategies to help gardens survive and thrive in the heat.
The class meets at 11 AM under the shade arbor at the Garden. Fee for the class is $10 and will be instructed by Daniel Graham.
Anyone interested in visiting or volunteering at the Community Garden this Saturday, please arrive between 10 and 10:45 AM.
The Garden is located at 1514 Dublin St. inside the Brownwood Housing Authority Park Homes and parking is available behind the CTO building.
