The Brownwood Area Community Garden is starting the 2013 gardening season with a composting class entitled “Fundamentals to Frontiers” this Saturday, March 23, at 11 AM, at the Garden.
The class will cover hot composting in homemade bins, and cool composting with earthworms, and will highlight the Garden’s own composting systems. It will also introduce the Bokashi method of anaerobic composting, as well as frontiers of composting, including humanure composting systems.
This class is for everyone who wants to recycle their own organic wastes, create their own superb planting mix and for bug lovers too. The class will be led by the Brownwood Area Community Garden Coordinator Daniel Graham. Cost to attend is $10.
