The Military Family Support Group is asking the community for cards of support for a local soldier recently injured in the line of duty.
PFC Andy Putman, United States Army, sustained injuries when the vehicle he was riding in was hit by an IED while in Afghanistan. Pictured left are Putman and his wife Kendra.
“Andy needs to know his community is supporting him and his family,” said group member Joyce Leidig. “If you or a group you are involved in can do cards of support that would be great. We want to send a box of cards of support to Andy and his family from our community.”
A drop off box is at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce office (600 E. Depot) for cards of support. Cards need to be at the Chamber office by Monday, June 4th.
Anyone with questions or who needs cards picked up, please call Joyce at 325-784-5014.
