Brownwood News – The three victims of a Thursday, February 20, plane crash in Coleman County have been identified.
According to Coleman County Sheriff, Les Cogdill, the pilot was Chase Hunter Bellah, 31, of Brownwood.
Passengers on the flight were Gary Alan Morrison, 65, of Abilene and Charles Cleveland Whitener, 70, of Abilene.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Thursday morning around 6:00 am, the DPS was notified of a plane crash in Coleman County. The crash site was located just northwest of Lake Coleman and responders made it on scene at about 10:00 am.
The airplane involved was a Beechcraft King Air BE 200.
The airplane took off from Abilene Regional Airport and was in route to Harlingen, Texas.
According to Cogdill, the National Transportation Safety Board will return to the crash site today to continue their investigation.
