Students at Coggin Elementary will release at 12:25 p.m. on December 1, 2016, as Brownwood ISD students in 2nd-5th grade participate in the District UIL Elementary Meet being hosted on the Coggin Elementary campus that afternoon.
Only Coggin Elementary students will be on early release that day as event coordinators prepare the campus for the academic competition which begins at 1:30 p.m. “East Elementary, Northwest Elementary, and Woodland Heights Elementary had a mini-UIL meet Tuesday, and now the students from those three schools will form one team in grades 2 and 3,” explained Coggin Elementary Principal, Todd Lewis. “This is the second time Coggin Elementary has hosted the District UIL Elementary Meet.”
School districts participating in the meet include Big Spring, Snyder, Sweetwater, Wylie and Brownwood.
