CMS Health Care sponsored a presentation on germs at Early Primary and Early Elementary Afterschool Centers on Education on Thursday, May 7.
Students put Glow-Gel lotion (simulated germs) on their hands, checked out its revealing luminosity under a UV light, washed their hands to remove it all, and finally rechecked to discover how thoroughly they cleaned the “bacteria.” The boys and girls learned that a quick hand wash is not adequate and that cuticles along with dry patches create the most difficult places to clean.“Tina Judkins and Nurse Amy McLane did a fabulous job explaining the importance of thorough hand washing,” said Debbie Hagood, Early Elementary ACE Site Coordinator.
