Graveside services for Claudia Puett, age 96, of Brownwood, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Eastlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Puett passed away December 14, 2011 in a local nursing home.
Claudia Orlue Puett was born January 4, 1915 in Coleman County, Texas to Sidney and Elizabeth Davis Smith. During WWII she worked in factories in California for the war effort. Claudia married to Felix Puett in Abilene, Texas and they owned and operated the Robert Lee Observer Newspaper. She had been a resident of Brownwood for the past 30 years.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend Joyce Ralston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son Leland Puett, three brothers Edwin, Fred and Van Smith and by four sisters Mary Coffey, Lucy Williams, Lena Davis and Fannie Wallace.
