CarrigerClaudiaMaeFuneral services for Claudia Mae Carriger, age 84, of Early, will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Hall and Rev. Dan Chapman officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:30 until 8:00.  Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park.

Claudia passed from this world to her heavenly home to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2016.  She will be missed by her family and friends here.  In heaven though, a joyous day is going on.  We shall rejoice for her today.  She taught all her children all whom she knew about Jesus and living for him.

Claudia was born on October 23, 1931 in Van to Claud and Pauline (Strasner) Enos.  She graduated from Van High School and married Grady Ray Arnold in 1946 in Tyler.  He preceded her in death in 1971.  She later married Don Carriger.  He preceded her in death in 2015.  She owned Claudia’s Custom Drapery in Brownwood for 30 years.  Claudia was a member of Haven of Hope Church and she loved helping her husband minister to the youth weekly at the Texas Youth Commission campus.  She also enjoyed sewing and fishing with her family.  Claudia was always helping and giving to others.

Claudia is survived by her daughter, Linda Gail Arnold Kelley and husband Ed of Brownwood; a sister, Edythe Robertson of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Carline McCullough, James Andrews and wife Sherry, Cameron Urteaga, Morgan McCullough, Chris Arnold, Claudia Marie Arnold, Rebecca Arnold, and Austin Lee Arnold; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Blake, and Alex Andrews and three great-granddaughters; two step-daughters, Marisa Craddock and her husband Danny and Donna Allen and her husband Mike; a step-granddaughter, LaKrisha Newton and two step-grandchildren, Joey and Kylee Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, a son, Claud Arnold and a granddaughter Carla Michelle.

The family requests memorials be made to Haven of Hope Church.
