Clara Fuentes Vasquez, 76, of Coleman, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Coleman County Medical Center. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Brown Ranch Cemetery in Fisk. The funeral procession to the cemetery will leave the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Clara Fuentes Vasquez was born August 12, 1940 in Asherton, Texas to Teodoro Fuentes and Isabel Espinoza Fuentes. She grew up and attended school in Asherton. On August 15, 1959, she married Felipe Vasquez in Ballinger. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2005. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Israel Vasquez of Coleman; four grandchildren, Abigail, Elijah, Rebekah and Rafael Vasquez all of Coleman and her beloved companion, Geronimo Hernandez of Coleman.Besides her parents and husband, Clara was preceded in death by an infant son, Teodoro Vasquez in 1977, two brothers, Victor Fuentes, Jose Fuentes and one sister, Rafaela Maldonado.
A Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.
