The City of Brownwood recognized several employees for their 5 year anniversaries of employment at the November 22nd city council meeting.
The city administration and council’s appreciation for the job city employees render, the value of skill, knowledge, and judgment that comes from long years of experience, was expressed by Mayor Stephen Haynes and City Manager Bobby Rountree.
“All of our employees with us, we very much appreciate all of the hard work that you do,” said Mayor Haynes. “I will tell you that honestly that I receive more complements than I do complaints about your work.”
“I do appreciate the job that you guys do on a day-to-day basis; you are in a job where you affect the lives of people every day,” said Rountree. “The work that you do 24/7 allows our community to grow. It is a rewarding occupation simply because you touch the lives of everyone every single day.”
