The City of Brownwood Parks and Recreation Department announced the remaining schedule for city pools as summer winds down and school gets ready to begin.
Camp Bowie Family Aquatic Center will change to one session per day starting August 4th through August 9th, which will be the last day for the center to be open for the summer. The remainder of the season will have the following schedule.
Monday, August 3rd – CLOSED
Tuesday, August 4th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Wednesday, August 5th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Thursday, August 6th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Friday, August 7th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Saturday, August 8th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Sunday, August 9th – 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Lap Swimming (at the Aquatic Center): The last day will be Friday, August 9th. The lap swimming area will be the only area of the pool open during the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (1 1/2 hours) on Tuesdays through Fridays. During lap swimming, none of the other features of the pool will be open. Standard admission rates apply.
Wiggins Pool: The last day for the season will be Friday, July 31st.
