In observance of the Labor Day holiday, Brownwood City Hall will be closed and there will be no collection of residential waste on Monday, September 7th. Residents with blue or green carts, please note collection days as follows: Monday’s routes will be collected on Tuesday; Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday; and Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will not be affected by the holiday.
The Brownwood Recycling Center and Landfill will be closed on Monday and will reopen on Tuesday, during normal business hours. Tuesday’s routes will be collected on Wednesday. Thursday and Friday’s routes will be collected on regular schedules. Call the Brownwood sanitation department at 643-4200 for any questions.
Bagged trash prevents litter. Citizens are asked to bag their waste and securely tie the bags closed before placing in carts or dumpsters.
The Recycling Center and Landfill will also be closed on Monday September 7th and will reopen on Tuesday for normal business hours.
The City collects bulky items including brush and tree limbs from residential customers at no charge. Early City Hall will also be closed on Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Monday’s and Tuesday’s trash routes in Early will be picked up on Tuesday, September 8th. Early residents can call 643-5451 for more information.
