The second night of Brownwood’s Christmas Under the Stars Festival on Saturday was another successful evening according to organizers.
The night was much different than the first with fair weather and clear skies instead of rain and cold temperatures. Hundreds enjoyed the festivities which included hands-on activities of cross making, cookie decorating, nail painting, karaoke, various crafts, entertainment and more.
Competitions included Treats for Santa Bake-off, Frosty’s Village Building Contest, Amazing Race, the Scavenger Hunt.
The Brownwood Municipal Police Association’s rock climbing wall was on site with the clear weather and many took on the challenge to reach the top.
Santa and Mrs. Claus were present to hear all of the children’s wishes and whether or not they had been naughty or nice.
The food drive, coat drive, and toy drive to benefit local charities also continued on Saturday.
The festival was located at the Depot Complex, Adams Street Community Center, and the Lehnis Railroad Museum offering holiday fun for the whole family with many activities at no cost to participants.
