Four teams of three took on this year’s Amazing Race competition during Christmas Under the Stars Festival on Saturday. It was a holiday version of the Amazing Race where teams of youth tackled a variety of tasks for prizes.
Each group had to do their best at decorating a Christmas tree, building a snowman, wrapping presents and decorating a gingerbread house in these timed events. A tie score developed during the competition for third place so a tie breaker event was added. The two teams had to eat their gingerbread houses, and the team who ate the most in 30 seconds took third place.
Although the overall competition was close, the team consisting of Jordan Gongora, Lorena Lopez and John Mobley came out on top. The team won $75 in cash.
Prizes were also awarded for second and third place.

Third Place ($25): Nayelli Castro, April Burch, and Ashton Crow.
