Graveside Services for Christine Denson, age 79, of Brownwood, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday September 28, 2009 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo,with Rick Denson officiating, interment will follow under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2pm to 4pm Sunday at Davis Morris Funeral Home. Mrs. Denson passed away Thursday September 24, 2009 in Brownwood.
Christine was born February 5, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Garland and Cynthia (Wilson) Shook.
She married Desmond “Ray’ Denson on December 19, 1947 in Winters, Tx and worked as a lobby service officer for Nations Bank for 23 years. She was also a member of the Brady Avenue Church of Christ.
Christine is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Denson and wife Brenda of Copperas Cove, and Russell Denson and wife Vivian of Brownwood; grandchildren, Carolynn Denson Gates and husband Scott, Donald Denson and wife Shelley, Diana Denson, Emily Denson, and Eric Denson and wife Arianna; great grandchildren, Stephen Gates, Joseph Gates, C.J. Bell, Shelby, Logan Gates, and Jordan Denson; a brother, Jim Shook and wife Betty Shook; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Denson, and parents.
