Chili’s of Brownwood will host a fundraiser for the family Andrea Romero on April 24th, from 10:45 AM until 10:00 PM. Chili’s is located at 204 E. Commerce in Brownwood.
For everyone who brings in an Andrea Romero flyer, Chilis will donate 15% of sales to Andrea Romero’s family. Let Chili’s do the cooking and support the Romero family at the same time. Flyers may be picked up at the Texas Department of Public Safety Office from Cynthia, or tell your waitperson that you are dining to support the family of Andrea Romero.
Unfortuantely Andrea lost her fight with longterm illnesses on Sunday, April 21st and all proceeds from the fundraiser will help the family with Andrea’s medical bills and expenses due to her long-time illness with Lupus and now cancer.
For those who cannot attend, donations may be made to the “Andrea Romero Benefit Account” which has been established at Texas Bank on Fisk Avenue.
Andrea Romero leaves behind her parents Robert and Norma Romero, two brothers Nick Romero of Las Colinas and Marcus Romero of Brownwood, along with her beloved dog Bentley. She was a graduate of Brownwood High School and had been battling Lupus most of her adult life. She received a long awaited kidney transplant in May of 2012. Prayers were answered; however, through her transplant, Andrea acquired a rare form of cancer.
Andrea demonstrated a hero’s determination and strength, as she battled against the cancer. A memorial will be held in Arlington on Saturday, April 27th along with another memorial in Brownwood at a later date.
Please join in supporting Andrea’s family on Wednesday, April 24th as her friends and family gather to raise money and try to lessen some of the financial stress her family faces during this trying time.
