lyrickids2011

The Children’s Theatre Camp hosted by the Lyric Performing Arts Company has been underway for two weeks, and the kid’s hard work will be showcased this weekend in three performances.

Camp classes are divided by age with the 6-10 age group and the 11-16 group each starring in their own play.

The younger group, directed by Caitlyn Tidwell, will perform the play “10 Reasons Not To Be in a Play” by Alan Haehnel.  The older group, directed by Charlie Musgrove, will perform “Not-So-Grimm Tales” by Kevin Bean.

Performance will take place Friday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m and Saturday, June 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the Dorothy McIntosh Fine Arts Center at Brownwood High School.  The plays will be performed back-to-back.

Admission to the performances cost $5 for audience members who are not immediate family members of the cast and may be paid at the door.

Each of the child performers will take an active part in the productions according to organizers.
