Cheryl Evon Smith, age 65, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at her residence. She was cremated under the direction of the Heartland Funeral Home and her cremains will be interred in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.
Mrs. Smith was born on September 14, 1946 in Paris, Texas to Sheppard and Mary Jo Clark Griffin and in March 1968 she was married to Jack H. Smith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Sons: Gary Dean Smith and Scott Hamilton Smith
Brother: Gary Griffin
Grandchildren: Justin, Sean, Nathan, Ashley and Stephanie Smith
Preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
