Funeral Services for Charlotte Cox, age 84, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Bangs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 4, 2011 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Light officiating, interment to follow in Bangs Cemetery under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Cox passed away Tuesday May 31, 2011 in Fredericksburg.
Charlotte was born on January 9, 1927, in McCullough County, Texas, to William S. Young and Maggie L. (Cave) Young. She married Clyde Cox on March 17, 1946 in Brownwood, Texas. Charlotte was a homemaker as well as an active member in at the Bangs Church of Christ for many years.
She is survived by her husband Clyde Cox of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Sandra Seelig and husband Lee of Fredericksburg, TX; son, Roy C. Cox of San Angelo; foster son, Morris T. Collier of Pflugerville, TX; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
