Charles Eugene Wade went to be with God, family & friends Monday, February 5th at his home in Lake Brownwood. Gene was born February 13, 1930 to Clifford E Wade & Thelma Hill Wade in Blum, Texas.
Gene was employed by the State of Texas for 27 years and was a Pastor most of his adult life. He was an avid fisherman & gardener, a Master of both. He married Omia Wade and lived in San Antonio Texas for 42 years. Omia died in 1988. Gene later moved to Lake Brownwood to be near family & his fishing holes.
He was preceded in death by his wife Omia, his parents, Clifford & Thelma Wade, a sister, Juanita Wade Huckabee, and numerous other extended family members.
Survivors include sisters, Vallie Carson & Dell McBurney of Modesto California, Wanda Jo and Joe Ethridge of Gatesville Texas, Lee Baldwin & Bennie Snapp of Early, Evelyn & Ronnie Merrifield of Lake Brownwood, one special niece, Donna Ingram Johnson, many other nieces, nephews & friends, and special friend Sherrie Greenwood.
