Charles “Buddy” Cass, age 64, of Brownwood passed away December 30, 2015 at his residence.

Charles was born October 22, 1951, to Charlie Cass and Della (Jowers) Cass in Alice, Texas. An automotive and diesel mechanic all his life, he loved racing cars, and fishing.  He was a member of the Promitory Park Volunteer Fire Dept., and the local Treasure Hunters Association.

Buddy is survived by special friend, Shirley West of Brownwood; sisters, Dee Smith of Lubbock, Patricia Wade and husband Cody of Brownwood; sons, Cody Cass and girlfriend Michelle Williams of Early, Charlie Cass and wife Jennifer of Brownwood, John Cass and wife Kristi of Poolville; and daughter, Alina Collins of Godley; 14 grandchildren,; and 1 great- grandchild; 2 nieces; and numerous other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tony King and Bro. Todd King officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 prior to the service at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Kidneeds/GCRCF 324 3rd St. SE, Cedar Rapids, Ia 52401 in honor of Buddy’s granddaughter Amber.
