granviewCharles “Bill” Grandaw, age 83, of Brownwood passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence.

Services for Bill will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Frances officiating, interment to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Rosary will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home.

Bill was born on May 26, 1930 to Urban and Alice (Boivin) Grandaw in Bastrop, LA. He served in the United States Armed Forces for 5 years. On November 2, 1981 in Mercedes, Texas he married Wanda Ashby Kelley. Bill worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Northrap-Grumman for 39 years. He loved building and repairing computers. Bill was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

Bill leaves behind his beloved wife of 31 years, Wanda Grandaw; daughters Dianna Hutcheson and Cheryl Regina Amos both of Burnet; six grandson; eight great grandkids; brothers Irvin Grandaw of Oregon and Robert Grandaw of Washington; sisters Gaenell Tleimat of California, Joyce Olsen and Gloria Grandaw both of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend Betty Witing of Washington.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Carlton Kelley; brother-in-law Badawi Tleimat; brother-in-law Harry Olson; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Betty Grandaw.
