Deer season is just around the corner and many hunters may already be thinking of the perfect spot for their deer blind on the lease.

For only a $10 donation, enter your name into a drawing to win this deer blind valued at $2,600 donated by Big Country Ford. All proceeds will go to The Deer Project of Good Samaritan Ministries.
Thomas Scull, General Manager of Big Country Ford, said he spoke with his company’s owners about the best way to donate to the project. They could have just given money, but the chance to multiply the gift through ticket donations for a new deer blind was too good to pass up.
In its fifth year, The Deer Project is a program that combines hunters, processors and donors in an incredible formula to feed hungry families in Brown County.“The Deer Project is special in that it provides opportunities for two previously unreached groups – hunters and processors – to do something they love while providing for those less fortunate in their own backyard,” said Angelia Bostick, Executive Director of Good Samaritan Ministries. “The hunters came through in such a big way using up all of their tags and donating those deer for the project while the processors have offered a special low price for processing.”
And there is still room for those who love the project but aren’t hunters. In order that the processing cost does not fall solely on the hunter, monetary donations make it possible for the program to be free for the hunters.
“There are so many different groups involved,” Bostick said. “It is amazing to see how everyone fits together perfectly with the end result being fresh, lean protein on the plates of our hungry friends and neighbors.”
Tickets will be available at Good Samaritan Ministries, Big Country Ford, Hawk Hill Sales in Early, KOXE Radio and Wendlee Broadcasting.
The drawing for the blind will be held Saturday, October 6 at Big Country Ford.
The blind can be seen most days at Big Country Ford. It will travel to several different locations throughout the month.
