A potent upper level storm system will sweep southeast across west central Texas Monday night into Tuesday and will combine with cold air already in place to produce snow. Precipitation is expected to begin as snow across the big country Monday evening with a rain and snow mix developing further south Monday night.
Precipitation is expected to quickly change over to all snow by Tuesday morning with the snow becoming heavy at times. Significant snow accumulations are possible in some areas which could impact travel. While exactly how much snowfall is still uncertain…the most likely area to see significant snow will be north of the I-10 corridor.
