The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce will host its monthly luncheon on Friday, February 17 with guest speaker Billy Howe, State Legislative Director of Texas Farm Bureau (pictured left). The presentation will feature highlights from the Texas Farm Bureau Water Summit.
Howe will discuss current and future water issues, and he will include information about ground and surface water as well as strategic planning efforts to meet the needs of growing demand.
Howe was promoted to state legislative director for Texas Farm Bureau in May 2002. Howe monitors environmental regulation, property rights, and water policy issues for Texas Farm Bureau. He also supervises the administrative and legislative staff at the State Legislative Office in Austin.
The Chamber’s Monthly Luncheon will take place at the Brownwood Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1 PM on Friday. The luncheon, which is open to members and guests, will feature an interesting program and will also include door prizes, introduction of new members and the “Aces Wild” Cash Drawing—which currently stands at more than $200.
