The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Missi Malone has been named as the Director of Member Services. Malone, who will officially begin her duties on March 1, was born and raised in Brownwood and attended Brownwood High School. She graduated from Howard Payne University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Marketing and in 2008 graduated from Tarleton State University with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Malone’s professional career began at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce in 2003 where she served as the Marketing Director until 2006. Since then she has worked in various marketing positions and most recently served as the Director of the Pecan Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.Regarding her new position, Malone stated, “My return to the Chamber is like going home! I am extremely thankful for this opportunity and look forward to working for the Chamber and the Brownwood community.”
Brownwood Chamber CEO Laura Terhune added, “Missi brings tremendous marketing experience to the Chamber as well as a working knowledge of the organization.” Terhune continued, “As a returning employee, she will hit the ground running. That will be important as her first official event will be the “Great Indoor, Great Outdoor Extravaganza” on Saturday, April 10—less than six weeks after she begins her new duties.”
Missi Malone lives in Brownwood with her husband Adam and son Hutton.
