AllisonC.F. Allison, 87, of Brownwood, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at a local nursing facility. In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Allison will be cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations and graveside services will be held at a later date.

C.F. was born on August 22, 1926, in Hale Center Texas to Cecil Freddie Allison and Viola McFadden Allison. He served his country in the United States Army and had worked on pipelines in the oil and gas industry for numerous years. C.F. had worked on the Alaskan pipeline and his last “big job” was in Saudi Arabia installing underground generators for a hospital. He was well known throughout the area and had owned Allison Neon Signs and Buck Bennies Grocery for many years. His favorite thing to do in his later years was visiting with friends and remembering good times and good friends from days past. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Those left behind to cherish his memories are his children; Cheryl Allison, Neta Mullins and Ronnie Mullins, all of Brownwood; two grandchildren, Tina Squyres and husband Jimmy of Early and Scott Mullins and wife Patricia of Brownwood. His is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews, Karen Godwin of Rockwall, Mike Qualls and wife Miriam of Hico Jay and Jenny Allison of Plano and Dwayne Horton of Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Allison; infant daughter Marsha Kay Allison, daughter Dolores Morris; son-in-law Gerald Morris; his parents, Cecil and Viola Allison; sisters, Naomi Godwin and Elva Horton and a brother Lawrence Allison.

The family would like to thank Dr. Oines, the staff at CARE and CCHS for the care they gave our dad; and a special thanks to Eva Gay for visiting every day and Chaplain Stan Wilson for his visits with Dad as well.
