The Center for Life Resources will host a “Recovery Walk and Picnic in the Park” from 8:45am until 2:00pm on Saturday, September 8th at Coggin Park.
The event marks September as National Recovery Month and promotes that, “prevention works, treatment is effective and people recover.”
The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
A schedule of the events is as follows:
8:45am – Walkers meet at the pavilion
9:00-10:15am – Recovery Walk
10:00-10:30am – Welcome and personal recovery stories
10:30-1:00pm – Games and Activities (pickup games, art activities, & fun races for kids)
1:00-2:00pm – Lunch (Hot dogs and drinks)
1:00-1:30pm – Recovery Stories
1:30pm – Final announcements and recognition of winners
