Revitalizing Our Community (ROC) will be hosting the 2016 celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 18th.
The celebration will kick off with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade, which will begin at the Bennie Houston Recreation Center at 10:00 a.m. at 505 Cordell Street in Brownwood. Participants of the parade are encouraged bring and display banners and signs representing their school or organization.
The parade will travel northeast on Cordell Street and will conclude at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Plaza at the corner of W. Austin Avenue and West Commerce. Music and presentations will be featured at the plaza after the parade.
No registration is required to enter the parade and the entire community is encouraged to participate.
