Funeral services for Cecil C. Koerner, Jr., age 64 of Lake Brownwood, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Todd King officiating. Burial will follow in the Grit Cemetery near Mason.
Mr. Koerner died Sunday at Brownwood Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. The family would to say thank you to the staff of Cross Country Care Center.
Cecil was born on July 26, 1949 in Ranger to Cecil and Leola Mae Koerner. He was a truck driver and welder for many years.
Cecil is survived by one son, James Koerner of Brownwood, two daughters, Misty and fiancé Keith King of Brownwood and Cecilia Qualley and husband Duane of Brownwood; six grandchildren and one great-grandson; two brothers, Michael Koerner and Ray Gene Koerner and multiple nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and a brother.
Never known as an affectionate man, nor a man of many kind words, by any who knew him, including his family, we can only hope and pray that he has found peace in the afterlife.
