Early Chamber of Commerce has begun it’s very own cash mob. Today, the Chamber Board Members and Ambassador Club Members zeroed in on Brownwood Gold and Silver Exchange, 110 N. Fisk, Brownwood, to bring cash and spend it.
Early Chamber’s President, Ronald Isom, stated that this was a great way to infuse money into the economy. The business owner, an Early Chamber of Commerce Member, is completely surprised by the conversion of people coming in all at once to shop.
There is an electronic system that chooses which member will be the next one to ‘hit,’ explained Wanda Furgason, Executive Director. If the business chosen is a manufacturer or a wholesale business, then Early Chamber will select again.
“This was fun”, stated Helen Tatum, Vice President of the Ambassador Club,” I didn’t know what they had for sale but I found some precious items.”
