Carole Joan Matthews, age 71, of Brownwood, died Sunday October 23¸2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was born July 23, 1940, in Ft. Worth, Tx. to Lonnie Mullins and Delmon Marie Robertson Mullins.
She is survived by her husband, Max Matthews, of Brownwood, daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Chris Bobo of Round Rock, son Mike Matthews, of Brownwood, son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Robin Matthews, of Brownwood, grandsons, Ryan and David Bobo, of Round Rock, sisters, Sharon and husband Roy Eubanks, Lisa Davis, sister-in-law, Donna Mullins, brother, Eddie and wife Pam Mullins, all of Ft. Worth.
Joan and Max were members of Birchman Ave. Baptist in Ft. Worth, Tx.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Chuck Mullins.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early with Reverend Richard Jackson officiating the service. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.
