teagueFuneral services for Carlton Teague, 68, of Bangs, will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, July 24, in Lamesa Memorial Park Cemetery in Lamesa Texas. Interment will follow, under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.  No visitation has been set.

Mr. Teague passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Carlton Lee Teague was born on February 13, 1946, in Lamesa Texas to Judd Thomas Teague and Venita Jewell (Wilson) Teague. He served his country in the United States Army and had worked as a Consultant in the Oil and Gas Industry. Carlton was a simple man and spent a lot of time working on cars or building projects and helping family and friends with their projects as well.  Above all else, the thing that meant the most to him were his grandchildren, they were truly the light of his life. Carlton was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion and had lived in Brown County since 1982, moving here from Fort Stockton.

He is survived by two sons; Westin Teague and wife Jessica of Breckenridge, and Trevon Teague of Bangs; two daughters, Cristy Cox and husband Andrew of Hallett Oklahoma and Christina Behringer of Pensacola Florida. He is also survived by his brother, Wesley Teague and wife Donna of Lamesa; sister, Venita Cox and husband Ronnie of Florence Arizona; 12 Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his longtime friend and companion, Bobbie Turner of Bangs.

He was preceded in death by his parents Judd and Jewell Teague and one brother, Ray Teague.
