Carl Francis Schumann, of Brownwood, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, January 13, 2010. Beloved husband, daddy, papaw, brother, and devoted friend that will be missed by all who knew him.
Carl was born on July 5th, 1939 in San Angelo, TX, to the late Rudolf and Louise Schumann. He graduated from Brownwood High School in 1958. He married Margie Price Schumann on October 29, 1960. Carl worked as an Electrician until he retired in 2003. He loved his family, friends, traveling and playing his guitars and mandolins, while praising and singing to his Heavenly Father above. He was a member of IBEW Local #602 for 42 years, a Baptist Deacon for over 40 years and a member of Victory Baptist Church in Brownwood. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years Margie, two daughters, Becky Schumann Hanna and Randy of San Angelo, Sherry Schumann Denton and Scott of Frisco. Granddaughter, Taylor Denton and Grandsons Jacob Hanna and Joshua Denton, all cherished to the end. Carl is also survived by his sisters, Mildred Schumann Becker and Wayne of Dallas, Lucy Schumann Johnson and Monroe, Brenda Schumann Little, Nelda Schumann Bishop and Zana Schumann Byrd and Jim, a brother, James Schumann all of Brownwood. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many wonderful and loving friends.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 10:00 am at Heartland Funeral Home, Early, Texas followed by graveside services at Greenleaf Cemetery, Rev. Ruben Packer and Rev. LC Price, brother-in-law will be officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews Paul Infinger, Gary Johnson, Donnie Seaton, Billy Taylor, Daniel Taylor all of Brownwood, Ronnie Tiner of Stephenville, Todd Price of Argyle and Mark Becker of Dallas. Honorary Pallbearers: Jacob Hanna, Taylor Denton and Joshua Denton. Visitation will be Friday evening at Heartland Funeral from 6 to 8 PM
