mayorIt is National Nursing Home Week and this year’s theme is “Enriching Every Day.”  Residents at C.A.R.E. are celebrating the week and have been participating in different activities each day, some of which are banana split day, and a parade which will take place Friday morning.

In the last full day of Brownwood Mayor Bert Massey’s tenure, he visited C.A.R.E., Inc. to sign a Proclamation on Monday.  This proclamation states that this week, Mother’s Day through May 15th, is National Nursing Home Week.   Massey noted that he had signed many proclamations over the years and that “This is the last one…I take great pleasure in signing this one.”

Mayor Robert Mangrum of Early had also signed the document, but was not at the gathering due to being out of town.  He was gracious enough to sign before leaving town, giving his support of the week and its significance as well.
