Emergency responders were called to a two-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a semi-truck Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 7:00 p.m., a four-door Nissan sedan and a semi-truck hauling heavy equipment collided near the intersection of W. Commerce and Romines. The wrecked Nissan was blocking traffic in both eastbound lanes of W. Commerce.The driver of the Nissan was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of injuries. The cause of the accident and extent of the driver’s injuries were not reported.
The Nissan sustained front-end damage knocking off the front bumper of the vehicle. The truck appeared to have little or no damage from the collision.
Brownwood Police, Brownwood Fire Department, and Guardian EMS responded to the scene.
