Residents of Brown County are encouraged to meet their candidates before heading to the polls for the Republican Primary on March 4th. A Republican Candidates Forum will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, February 10th, at Adams Street Community Center, 510 E. Adams. The forum, organized by Brown County Republican Women’s Club will include county candidates for the upcoming Republican Primary Election.
“We are always happy when people come out and listen,” said Anne Casas, Vice President of the Brown County Republican Women’s Club. “A lot of people don’t vote in the primary election, but the primaries are essential because they decide who actually runs in the general election. I hope people pay attention, get to know their candidates and vote. This event is being held to give our citizens an opportunity to be exposed to the candidates.”All local candidates running in the Republican Primary have been invited to participate. Each will be given 3 minutes to state who they are, why they are running and what changes they would like to implement. Voters will have an opportunity to submit written questions for the candidates where there is more than one running for the office.
